What We Do

We are group of highly skilled public health professionals passionate about the disease ravaging low and middle income countries especially in Sub-saharan African Countries. We address the poor health system challenges facing the region through research, and dissemination for policy implementation. As part of our Health System Strengthening agenda in LMICs, we procure health commodities, devices, low-cost laboratory equipment and diagnostic machines for common tropical diseases at primary healthcare levels. These includes screening tests for Non Communicable Disease (NCDs) such as hypertension, prostate, cervical cancers and breast lesions.

and an expert in individual and institutional capacity development, health system strengthening, health policy development, health reforms, quality assurance, resource mobilization for donor funding, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy and social mobilization for community ownership of programme, focusing on poor, hard-to-reach and underserved communities. He is involved in quality assurance (QA) and research on immunization programmes for improved service delivery in states and zones of Nigeria where he has worked as state team leader or zonal co-ordinator. He has also worked as the Country Immunization Director (CID) for European Union Support to Immunization Governance in Nigeria. He successfully completed this 5 year Project valued over 68 million Euros in this projects in August 2019. Dr. James Onoja Attah has successfully written proposal that secured GAVI funding of routine immunization programme for most of the states in the South West Zone of Nigeria.

DR. IBRAHIM OZOVEHE YISA

He is a Public Health Physician, with postgraduate degrees, which include: Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics and a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College in the Faculty of Public Health. He is also a Member of the West African College of Physicians in the Faculty of Public Health. He has basic training in health economics, especially on Economic Evaluation of Health Technologies at the University of York in the UK. He has substantial experience in health programme management in the Nigerian health sector – as National Deputy Team Leader for DFID-funded PATHS2 Programme, Immunization Expert and Head of Operations of the European Union Partnership to Reinforce Immunisation Efficiency (EU-PRIME) Project in Nigeria. Dr Yisa currently, the National Team Leader of the European Union Support to Immunization Governance in Nigeria (EU-SIGN) Project. He has continued to bring to bear, his experiences on the project which supports the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and 23 states as well as the FCT in Nigeria.

He satisfactorily led a team of researchers who conducted REVIEW/EVALUATION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF WARD HEALTH SYSTEM & WARD MINIMUM HEALTH CARE PACKAGE PROJECT IN NIGERIA DECEMBER 2011 for Jeemson Medical Investment Nigeria Ltd He is a Professor of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology with a wealth of experience in public health and patient care. He works with the department of Paediatrics, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, in Borno State where he has held the post of Head of Department for 2 terms with contributions in many National/International journals and book chapters to his credit. His contribution to teaching, learning and research in Nigeria has earned him the position of examiner in the national postgraduate medical college of Nigeria. He has over 20 years of teaching and hospital/community based research experience. Professor Ambe have extensive field and operational research experience with various National (NPI) and international (WHO, UNICEF) agencies in many areas of public health. Notable among these include immunization, integrated management of childhood illnesses (IMCI), PMTCT, Roll back malaria case management (RBM) and Infant feeding option in HIV positive mothers.

He is a Professor and public health specialist with a wealth of experience/ knowledge in project/programme design and implementation both locally and internationally with many publications in reportable medical journals. Has been a lecturer and HoD in Community health Department of A.B.U. One time Provost of College of Medical Sciences ATBU Bauchi, Nigeria. . His presence will continue to sustain and expand the growing activities of Jeemson Medical Investment in the North West Zone of Nigeria where disease burden is equally on the high side like most areas of sub-Saharan African Countries.

He is a retired Director in the Department of Information and Communication Technology at the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Abuja. He was involved in all stages of Statistical Production at the National Bureau of Statistics for Nigeria. He graduated from the University of Calabar, in the Department of Mathematics/Statistics and also holds a PGD from the University of Lagos, in Computer Science. He has participated in several Statistical Surveys including Planning, Survey Design and Data Collection of Health and Nutritional Survey, and the General Household Survey and Consumer Expenditure Survey. He was also part of the World Bank Poverty Assessment Team and was trained to be the Analyst in charge of Poverty Measurement using Expenditure/Income for Nigeria. Some of the Surveys and Research he has undertaken are:-Nigeria Poverty Profile, Consumption Pattern in Nigeria, Nigeria Poverty Assessment, Poverty Dynamics for selected 5 States in Nigeria, Core Welfare Indicator Questionnaire Survey in the six geo-political zones, Core Welfare Indicator Questionnaire Survey, NBS/CBN/NCC Socio-Economic Survey, Midwife and Nursing Council Survey on the MSS Scheme and Children with Disability Survey.

Her consultancy and agenda-setting activities for international and national bodies (UNICEF, WHO, UNDP, APOC, CUBE, DFID, NACA, ECOWAS, Global 2000, Ford Foundation, Mac-Arthur Foundation, Federal and State Ministries of Health) has set her apart as renowned consultant. She has been involved in control programmes (Guinea worm and Onchocerciasis), including building up North-South and South-South linkages. A Research Group (ARG), Institute of Microbiology and Infection (IMI), School of Biosciences, University of Birmingham, UK.  She is the South-South Coordinator for Jeemson Medical Investment Nig, a Health System Strengthening Organization. She is the PEI Consultant to WHO in Edo and Bayelsa States of Nigeria. She established an institution based consortium of researchers for surveillance of AMR and other VPDs through the University of Birmingham /MRC research collaboration on Antimicrobial Resistance and Factors Driving the spread of Resistance to critically important Antibiotics in Nigeria (AFRICA) as a principal investigator. She was State Technical Assistant for EU Project in Edo State.

This was a competitive bidding in line with government and World Bank procurement procedures that involved both local and international bodies/bidders. Jeemson won this bid through scientific presentation (proposal) that satisfied the procurement guide lines and stakeholders. The research conducted in the states of the 6 geopolitical zones taking statistically significant number of LGAs and Wards/communities. Jeemson partnered with manufacturing company in France to produce required and qualitative devices for quality service delivery in these states.
